iPhone unlocking instructions
Sim Unlock, Jail Break and Install 3rd Party Applications on your iPhoneSupported Versions: Upto and Including V1.1.1 (Latest)
You can now unlock your iPhone using GSMliberty without downgrades to your iPhone’s firmware !
Unlocking your iPhone allows you to utilize any GSM simcard and install 3rd party application on all iPhone versions up to and including the latest v1.1.1 !
Best of all unlocking your iPhone is done directly on your iPhone and therefore no PC or MAC is required during the unlocking procedure.
Preparing your iPhone for unlocking
We suggest you update your iPhone to the latest firmware v1.1.1 via iTunes before starting the unlock procedure
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR WIRELESS INTERNET (WIFI) ON YOUR IPHONE IS ENABLED AND CONNECTED AT ALL TIMES DURING THE UNLOCK PROCEDURE
Note: All steps are to be done ON your iPhone headset, no PC or MAC is required
Unlocking your iPhone
- If your iPhone has not been activated yet and is displaying "Activate iPhone" go to SECTION 1
- If your iPhone is already activated with AT&T service go to SECTION 2
Section 1 - for Non Activate iPhones Only
1. On the Activation Screen, slide to the Emergency Screen.
2. Type *#307# and hit Call, the phone will start ringing and display 1 Calling.
. Delete all the numbers from the top right of the screen and Call the number 0.
4. Press sequentially and in order: Answer, Hold and then Decline.
5. Go to Contacts and create a new contact. In the contact Url field type prefs://1f and save it. Then add another URL and type jailbreakme.com and save it.
6. Click on the prefs://1f and you can select your WiFi network. Exit by pressing home and then Dial and Call the number 0 from the emergency screen.
7. Select the second URL called jailbreakme.com of the contact you created and and follow the Install AppSnapp. Wait for it to finish and reboot the phone when its done.
8. Now AppTapp is on your Home Screen so you can install SimFree v1.7 directly on the phone.
9. In Sources press Edit, Add, and type in :

Accept the AppTapp installer message and it will show iPhoneSimFree on your Install list.
10. After that you must install from the System tab the BSD Subsystem and then SimFree v1.7 from the iPhoneSimFree tab.
11. You should now Go to the phone Settings application and in General - AutoLock, select Never .
Run the Simfree V1.7 by pressing the red apple (on your iPhone) and let it finish (once it finishes press the button on the iphone that takes you to the icons) you see illustrations of this process on the following PDF manual:

Note: For Simfree to work you must have already purchased an iPhone unlock license , this can be done here
Section 2 – For AT&T ACTIVATED iPhones ONLY
1. Open Safari and go to jailbreakme.com and follow the Install AppSnapp. Wait for it to finish and reboot the phone when its done.
2. Now AppTapp is on your Home Screen so you can install SimFree v1.7 directly on the phone.
3. In Sources press Edit, Add, and type in :

Accept the AppTapp installer message and it will show iPhoneSimFree on your Install list.
4. After that you must install from the System tab the BSD Subsystem and then SimFree v1.7 from the iPhoneSimFree tab.
5. You should now Go to the phone Settings application and in General - AutoLock, select Never .

TROUBLE SHOOTING:
If in the unlock process you get an error saying "unauthorized" , make sure you have purchased a license to unlock your iphone . If you already have done that , then you can do this:1) Go to WiFi Settings,
2) Find your Connection of your WiFi name
3) Press the Arrow on the right
4) Select Forget Network
5) Scan the network again
6) Connect to your WiFi again
7) Try SimFree.app again
8) Take OUT the sim card from the phone, reboot and try SimFree again .
9) Try another WiFi access point
You must be successfully connected to the internet via your iPhone's WIFI during the unlock procedure
